PERSONAL INFORMATION
Trey is a native of Lexington, South Carolina. He attended the College of Charleston as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. He then attended the Graduate School at the University of South Carolina and received a Masters’ Degree in Special Education. Trey then taught for three years in Richland County School District before entering the School of Law at the University of South Carolina. Upon Graduation, he became an Associate with the firm until becoming a partner of the firm in 2006.
Trey has represented clients on many various legal matters, with a primary focus on Criminal Defense, Personal Injury (Auto Accidents, Premises Liability, Medical Negligence), and Workers’ Compensation throughout the Pee Dee and South Carolina. Mr. Watts is a former 4th Circuit Representative for the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He has experience in defending clients charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Murder, Drug/Controlled Substance Violations, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Criminal Domestic Violence and other significant charges. Mr. Watts has experience working with law enforcement and prosecution agencies in an out of the Courtroom. He handles State (General Sessions), Magistrate, Municipal and Federal criminal matters.
Trey is married to Jill Elizabeth Holley Watts, a native of Hartsville South Carolina. They have two sons, Grant and Ford. The family resides in Hartsville.
